Sno-Isle Genealogical Society Library

Part of Lynnwood’s acclaimed Heritage Park, the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society’s Research Library is located in the vintage Humble House at 19827 Poplar Way, Lynnwood, WA 98036.  

The Research Library is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11am to 3 pm. During the Holiday Season or inclement weather conditions it’s always best to call in advance to confirm the library’s schedule. The telephone number is (425) 775-6267.

Internet access is available and staff is always ready to help Technology Neophytes use online resources and genealogical data entry applications.

Groups are welcome to visit the library during regular hours; special tours can be arranged at other times. Please let SIGS know of your group’s plans prior to your visit by emailing SIGS@alderwood.org, or calling the library at (425) 775-6267 so adequate staffing can be arranged.

The library’s collection has been described as “eclectic”, with resources from all over the world, featuring extensive holdings from Washington State and Pennsylvania.  The First People Collection is an invaluable resource for people researching their Native American heritage. Check the online catalog (pending) to find specific US locality titles, general references, genealogical methods, non-U.S. localities, biographies, specific surname works and  American Indian resources.  The library also holds many periodicals and journals published by other genealogical and historical societies.

REMEMBER – the SIGS Library at Humble House is a non-circulating, reference collection;  resources cannot be checked out.
